What to do while staying in Boothbay

To get to Boothbay Harbor, you simply make a left out of our driveway, and then left again on to West Side Road at the end of Higbee Lane.  Just keep going, across the two bridges. (about five miles).  As you come to the intersection with the monument of the soldier, the town hall will be directly our right.   Turn right onto SR-27.  You can continue on Route 27 into Boothbay Harbor.

Hannaford is the local grocery store.  They have everything you need but are a little pricey in the summer. Open 7 days. Located on Route 27 at the entrance to Boothbay Harbor.  Just follow directions above.

Rite-Aid Pharmacy is just across from Hannaford’s

St. Andrews Hospital, Boothbay Harbor.  Make a left out of our driveway, then left again on to West Side Road (becomes Barters Island Rd) and follow this road to the end.  Turn right and follow the hospital signs.

Railway Museum – located on Route 27.  Great fun for young children.  Antique auto display for children of all ages!

Ocean Point – beautiful scenery, rocky beach and a little swimming area.  Head toward Boothbay Harbor and at the traffic light with Hannaford Grocery Store on your right, make a left onto Route 96.  Follow to the end.

Burnt Island Lighthouse Tour  Wonderful historical tour of one of the oldest lighthouses still operating.  May not be interesting for children under 5.  Take the boat from Pier 8 in Boothbay Harbor.
